New Zealand band Crowded House have announced that they will return to Cork next summer when they play Musgrave Park.

Two more big summer gigs announced

Some great gigs have been added to the summer 2024 schedule on Leeside, as New Zealand band Crowded House have announced that they will return to Cork next summer.

The group, who have sold over 15 million records, are set to take the stage at Musgrave Park on 23 June 2024.

As an added bonus, very special guests The Waterboys will also perform on the night. Tickets priced from €49.90 go on sale at 9am Friday 10 November from www.ticketmaster.ie.

There is also an upcoming concert for the younger generation, as Dublin DJ duo Belters Only will play their biggest Irish headline show, also in Musgrave Park on 21 Friday June. Tickets are from €59.90 and they will also go on sale Friday 10 November at 9am.

It’s a return to Leeside for Crowded House, who delighted fans when they played the Marquee in 2022.

The tour next year will also see the legendary band play a series of outdoor shows in the UK, and the concert is sure to be full of Crowded House’s biggest hits including ‘Don’t Dream it’s Over’, ‘Weather With You’, ‘Distant Sun’ and ‘It’s Only Natural’.

Starting out in 1985, the band’s music has resonated across generations, and their influence has been wide-ranging, with their songs covered by artists such as Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande. There is a strong Irish connection too, as singer Neil Finn’s mother was born in Kilmallock, Limerick.

Fronted by Mick Scott, The Waterboys are renowned as one of the world's great live acts. Their set will feature some of their most iconic tracks, such as 'The Whole Of The Moon,' 'How Long Will I Love You,' 'This Is The Sea,' and 'Fisherman's Blues.'

While The Waterboys and Crowded House will keep the golden oldies happy, Belters Only is strictly for Gen Z. The duo comprises of longtime friends Bissett and Robbie G, and the act began as a weekly residency in a Dublin city club. Whilst clubs were closed during the pandemic, they decided to create new music and developed Belters Only, releasing their first single in November 2021.

Since then, the pair have gone from strength to strength, releasing a string of singles in 2022 including hits such as ‘I Will Survive’, ‘Don’t Stop Just Yet’ and ‘Call Me’.
