Jeremy in leading role for Hope Foundation

The Hope Foundation (HOPE) has announced acclaimed Oscar winning actor Jeremy Irons as its Special Ambassador for their 25th anniversary celebrations.

Jeremy Irons has been a long-standing advocate for HOPE’s work in Kolkata, India. With the actor’s support, the Foundation aims to continue to help to transform the lives of marginalised children, families and their communities in Kolkata. Over the past 25 years HOPE has made important strides in improving various vital sectors in the city including, education, healthcare, child protection and vocational training.

The charity aim to break the cycle of poverty and help children and their families build a better future for themselves. The foundation currently runs 56 projects which includes four creches, 10 residential children care centres and a state of the art hospital. These projects have helped more than 3 million people.

Speaking about his role of Special Ambassador Jeremy Irons said he is “honoured to serve as Special Ambassador for The Hope Foundation as they mark this significant milestone. The work they do in Kolkata is truly life-changing, providing hope and opportunity to those who need it most.”

HOPE’s anniversary celebrations will highlight the achievements of their previous and ongoing initiatives and aim to garner continuing support for their work.
