I'm obsessed with the amount and quality of sleep

You may remember last week I was struggling to find an outfit for that event I was going to.

Well, you’ll be happy to hear I went with the khaki green boiler suit and leopard print jacket option and my recommendation to everyone is to take the time to find a boiler or jumpsuit that works for your body shape and to invest. They really are a sartorial life saver and then you can just indulge your inner magpie and add lots of jewellery which makes any outfit look more styled. The event was for the launch of the new Yon-Ka Serum CBD which is a de-stressing, smoothing and re-harmonising night treatment.

I’ve added it into my nighttime routine and yes there are definitely benefits to the skin, but I have really noticed how good my night’s sleep is after getting. Like all Yon-Ka products, the smell is amazing, and I’ve also made a little ritual of using it every night before bed, inhaling the product from my hands and then massaging it into my skin and I’ve been sleeping like a log which is unusual for me as I would regularly wake up numerous times during the night. This serum is a soothing and relaxing delight that’s easily added to your skincare routine.

Speaking of sleep, is it just a sign of getting older that I am obsessed with the amount and the quality of sleep that I get whereas in my younger days I could stay up past 1am and still be bright as a button the next day?

Now the clock strikes 11 and I’m stressing that I’m not asleep yet and I may not get my full eight hours that I need to function. I’m on a constant quest for the ultimate good nights sleep, making bedtime rituals with aromatic serums being one way but also ensuring my bed is of optimum comfort levels and above all I need a great pair of pyjamas. Now I just simply cannot deal with nude sleepers. Are you not cold? Are your bits not all over the place? I need a cosy but not too warm set of pjs to send me off to sleep.

I’m not sure how people deal with anything fleecy for night wear, I would personally be boiling in this sort of garment. The same goes for a satin set which looks lovely and fancy but also causes my body to overheat. I adore a cool, cotton pair of pyjamas and I of course love a really good print on them. A classic stripe is always good and lets me channel my inner lord of the manor vibe while I have been partial to a pair with a zesty lemon print in the summer and gives me dreams of living in an Italian villa. H&M and M&S are great for good quality and affordable sleepwear that has quite a classic feel. If you’re looking for something with a bit more of a quirky print try the Chelsea Peers range and these also make lovely presents for people. For summer I need the legs to be free so I’m all about a shorts set and dare I say it might seem a little Grannycore but I do love a cotton night dress.
