What's new?
This season, I had the pleasure of testing out a standout new launch from et al., the Line + Define Eyeliners, and they’ve quickly earned a permanent place in my kit.
These liners are everything you want them to be. They are buttery soft, richly pigmented, and long-wearing. With a gel-like texture that glides on effortlessly, they’re ideal for everything from tightlining to a bold flick, and they give you just enough time to blend before setting for all-day wear. Whether you love a smoky finish or a clean, defined look, these deliver.
I trialled two shades, Chestnut and Cocoa, as press samples, and I’m already planning to add more to my collection. The range includes seven versatile hues, from Jet Black and Forest Green to a warm burgundy that’s perfect for soft definition.
Budget beauty buy
If you’re looking for brighter, more even-toned skin without breaking the bank, Bubble’s Day Cream Tone and Texture Serum (€22, available at Boots) is a brilliant choice.
This multitasking serum targets uneven tone, scarring, and hyperpigmentation, helping to smooth skin and boost radiance. Packed with powerhouse ingredients like vitamin C to brighten and protect, and niacinamide to calm, hydrate, and support the skin barrier, it’s an affordable way to elevate your skincare routine.
New cleanser
As someone who has tested more cleansers than I can count, I’m always a little sceptical of ‘game-changer’ claims but Dermalogica’s new Magnetic[+] Afterglow Cleanser (€75) genuinely lives up to the hype.
I’ve been trialling this and I can confidently say it’s one of the most innovative cleansers I’ve used in a long time. The formula is creamy and comforting, thanks to nourishing murumuru butter and oat, and it leaves my skin feeling clean but never stripped.
What makes this cleanser really stand out, though, is its Cellular HydraBond Technology. It uses positively-charged hyaluronic acid (yes, really) to help moisture cling to your skin more effectively—essentially working with your skin’s natural negative charge like a hydration magnet. Science aside, the results speak for themselves: my skin feels noticeably more hydrated and prepped after cleansing, which makes everything I apply after absorb and perform better.
It also contains a beautiful blend of Phyto Mucin, Lotus Root Extract, and 10% Glycerin to lock in that glow. I’ve genuinely noticed a softness and bounce to my skin that I wasn’t expecting from a cleanser.
In a consumer study, 92% of users said their skin felt primed for the next steps in their routine and I’d absolutely agree. I reach for this every morning now, not just to cleanse, but because I know it’s setting the tone for the rest of my skincare to really do its job.
Would I replace my current cleanser with this one? I already have.
