Triskel Art Centre is set to unveil its new Strategic Plan 2025-2028.

Sounds like a plan, Triskel!

A bold transformative vision for the future is to be unveiled at one of Cork city’s most iconic art hubs this weekend.

This Saturday, an Taoiseach Micheál Martin will be on hand to launch Triskel Arts Centre’s Strategic Plan 2025-2028 ahead of its 50th anniversary.

The plan outlines a roadmap that includes a €1.2 million capital investment programme and a target to raise an additional €100,000 annually in revenue funding.

The investments will aim to strengthen Triskel’s artistic programme, infrastructure, and community impact, positioning the centre for long-term sustainability and innovation.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said: “This significant investment builds on the wider roadmap for the arts and cultural sector in Cork as we look to further develop a vibrant and innovative area.”

The plan’s key development priorities include expanding the scope and impact of Triskel’s programming, while investing in facilities to improve digital capacity, energy efficiency, and accessibility.

The investments will also be used to build stronger collaborations with artists, organisations, and communities across Cork to enhance the city’s cultural landscape, all while deepening audience engagement through innovative programming and enhanced digital experiences.

Paula Cogan, Chair of Triskel Arts Centre, said: “As we approach our 50th anniversary, we are focused on building a sustainable, technologically advanced, and environmentally responsible future for the centre. Our vision is for Triskel to continue inspiring creativity, collaboration, and artistic excellence for generations to come.”

The launch of the plan marks a pivotal moment not only for Triskel Arts Centre but also for the wider transformation of Cork’s cultural quarter, as the area continues to evolve into a hub of creativity, innovation, and connection.

Triskel’s vibrant programme of live music, arthouse cinema, and contemporary visual arts continues year round with artists such as Iarla Ó Lionáird due to visit the venue in late November and Cork pianist Fionnuala Moynihan performing ‘Chopin at Christmas’ in December.

Tony Sheehan, Artistic Director of Triskel Arts Centre, said: “Triskel has always been a vibrant, independent, and forward-looking arts organisation — unafraid of change and dedicated to nurturing the very best of the arts in Cork. By 2028, our goal is to be recognised as a sustainable, digitally advanced hub that celebrates diverse voices, fosters community engagement, and showcases high-calibre Irish and international work.”
