ByReidin was showcased at London Fashion Week.

Give your outfits just a bit more pizazz

I’m a firm believer that to finish any look you need great accessories - the icing on the cake if you will.

I love a great handbag, something that makes a statement but is practical enough to hold all your everyday bits and pieces and so it was no surprise when I saw Irish handbag label ByReidn had been chosen to showcase her designs at London Fashion Week recently.

The show took place in the stunning setting of St John's Church just off Oxford Street on the opening night of fashion week.

The show was to showcase five new emerging designers and ByReidin was the handbag designer featured and paired with one of the clothes designers. She worked alongside designer Temi who had a rich colour palette in her collection of burgundy, greens and rust and they chose three handbags to compliment the looks.

The three bags chosen were the Laura Leopard pony haired Minnie, the red velvet Minnie and the limited edition and very luxe Plum Milly bag. It was a match made in heaven with the Temi collection and the handbags really added to the luxury feel and rich detailing of the clothes. We love to see an Irish designer representing at fashion week so well done to the lovely designer Reidin. If you’re looking for a super special handbag, then check out her designs which are truly becoming sartorial hot property and giving cool girl aesthetic.

A great bag can really make or break an outfit and can elevate your look to be oh so put together and while there's always space in our wardrobe for the classic neutral handbags, it’s also worth investing in a real showstopper that can easily add colour, print or even a bit of metallics to your everyday look. These bags are the star of the show, so you want to pick an outfit that really compliments the handbag and whether you want to pair down the outfit or go for full on maximalism there are so many ways to do this.

I love pairing a bold statement bag with a neutral, whether that be classic black or a delicious mixture of creams, beiges and whites you can make the outfit look both fun and stylish with for example a lush velvet red bag or a pony skin leopard style.

Think texture for this sort of style to really bring the glam. I also love a dressy white outfit paired with a really bright pop of colour for a fab holiday or summer look. Playing with contrasting colours and pulling out certain colours from a print or an embellishment detail also work so well, and we can see that in action in the mustard dress from Temi with burgundy/wine coloured embellishment and the ByReidin velvet bag really compliments the look. This creates an effortlessly polished style and elevates the outfit by adding the complimentary colour.

Without doubt everyone needs a metallic bag in their wardrobe as it’s almost like a neutral and I’ve said it before but if I’m ever in any doubt about what bag I should wear, I’ll always reach for either a gold or silver bag.

They go with pretty much everything and gives the outfit a bit more pizazz which we can all do with every now and then. It also adds dimension to classic looks like a double denim situation or even to simple hoodie over joggers look.
