VACIOUS shapewear.

Shapewear that demands to be seen

As any stylist will tell you, the first thing you’ve got to get right is the foundations of your outfit.

Shapewear and underwear form the scaffolding of your outfits and getting this right is so important to how you look and feel in what you’re wearing.

These are without doubt wardrobe staples and form the important building blocks of your individual looks. I would strongly encourage everyone to spend time finding what works for you and nowadays shapewear is made to not only be worn under your clothes but as a standout piece of clothing that demands to be seen.

I have long had a deep obsession with bodysuits and if you’re ever having a bit of a what do I wear moment then pop on a body suit, your favourite pair of jeans and some heels and you’re good to go. There’s something about a bodysuit with jeans, slicked back hair and a red lip that is effortless and sexy.

VACIOUS by Sinead O’Brien has just dropped its Spring Summer edit of stunning shapewear that will be the most perfect addition to your wardrobe. Sinead is a Limerick-based singer, influencer and entrepreneur.

Amassing a social media following of 180k, Sinead has a long career of working alongside some of Ireland’s leading brands. Connecting with her community over the years through her love of fashion, styling for your curves, and hosting nationwide events, Sinead went on to launch her own shapewear brand in winter 2021.

What started solo, with one product, has hugely grown since, into a brand that is loved across Ireland & beyond. Sinead focuses on shapewear and outerwear pieces that are technically constructed with compression technology, designed for all bodies, to enhance your curves, and empower confidence in your style.

Sinead strives to ensure VACIOUS is a brand for everybody, having a diverse range of models across the campaigns, empowering body positivity, and offering a truly inclusive size range from 6-28.

While not seen as a traditional summer colour, I am all about a summer brown and the VACIOUS button body suit will be the piece you reach for again and again this season. It’s obviously a winner with denim but also pair it with skirts for gorgeous nights out or with leopard print jeans for a more casual look.

A summer brown also pairs so well with creams, taupes and beiges and makes the perfect partner for any icy blue pieces you might have in your wardrobe. Imagine a light blue silky slip skirt with a brown body suit or give a baby blue blazer a new lease of life when layered over brown.

I also cannot recommend enough adding a black body suit to your wardrobe as I cannot count the number of times a black body suit has completed an outfit of mine when I was struggling with styling. One of my favourite summer looks is to wear a black body suit with flowy leopard print shorts and a pair of gold heels.

It’s not only the body suits that are my summer go tos. I cannot live without a pair of shaping shorts and if you are someone who wears skirts and dresses then you need a pair too.

I’m not really bothered about the shaping even though they do ensure everything is streamlined, my reason for always having a pair or two to hand is because it means I can wear dresses without getting the dreaded inner thigh chaffing.

I will not wear a skirt without these on and I can skip around the whole day knowing my thighs are chafe free and that is just ideal!
