Enjoy a Christmas away from home this year!
The Imperial Hotel has unveiled its Christmas 2026 residential stays, with two and three-night packages built around good food, festive traditions and time together.
Guests can make Cork’s Grand Dame their home for Christmas this year, with two and three-night residential stays from Christmas Eve. Guests can enjoy festive dining, entertainment and the magic of Christmas in one of Cork’s most iconic hotels, with everything taken care of.
Christmas hotel stays give families, couples and friends the chance to enjoy the traditions of the season while leaving the planning, cooking and clearing up to someone else. At The Imperial, the emphasis this Christmas is on time together, with good food, music, movies and games in the historic and luxurious city-centre hotel.
Guests arriving on Christmas Eve will find a festive welcome gift and seasonal touches waiting in their room before the celebrations get underway with a drinks reception and three-course dinner in Helena’s Restaurant.
Afterwards, there is nowhere else to be and nothing left to organise – just time to settle in, catch up at Fitzgerald’s Bar, and enjoy the first night of Christmas.
Christmas Day begins with a breakfast worthy of the day ahead. Later, guests will gather for a festive drinks reception before sitting down to a traditional four-course Christmas lunch, accompanied by a half bottle of wine per person.
As the afternoon slips into evening, things become altogether more relaxed. A festive buffet of seasonal bites will be served, while Christmas movies in The Frederick Douglass Lounge offer the perfect excuse to revisit an old favourite. There will also be games and The Imperial Quiz of the Year in Fitzgerald’s Bar too.
For guests staying for three nights, St Stephen’s Day is all about taking things at an easier pace. There is time to linger over breakfast, relax in the hotel and enjoy Cork at Christmas before gathering that evening for a three-course dinner in Helena’s Restaurant, followed by live music in Fitzgerald’s Bar.
General Manager Lorraine Gavigan said: “Christmas is really about being together, and that’s what we want this experience to give people more time to enjoy. The traditions are all still there – Christmas dinner, movies, games, music and plenty of time around the table – but our team takes care of everything around them. Guests can arrive on Christmas Eve, settle in and simply enjoy a few lovely days with the people who matter to them.”
The three-night Christmas Residential Package runs from Christmas Eve to 27 December and is priced from €997.50 per person based on two sharing. The two-night package runs from Christmas Eve to St Stephen’s Day and is priced from €755 per person based on two sharing. Breakfast is included with both.
The Imperial is also bringing back its midweek Imperial Christmas Spree throughout November and December. Made for a day of Christmas shopping followed by a night in the city, the package includes an overnight stay with breakfast in Helena’s Restaurant, a one-course lunch in Helena’s on either the day of arrival or departure and late check-out until 1pm, subject to availability. Prices start from €125 per person based on two sharing.
The Imperial will also welcome guests for New Year’s Eve. The overnight stay includes breakfast, a three-course dinner in Helena’s Restaurant with a glass of bubbles and live music in Fitzgerald’s Bar as the countdown begins to 2027. Prices start from €210 per person based on two sharing.
