Garth Brooks to end 2027 Irish tour in Cork

American country superstar Garth Brooks has this morning revealed that he is to play two shows in Cork’s SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh next summer.

The Cork shows on 18 and 19 June will serve as the grand finale of a five venue Irish tour taking in Belfast, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick on the road to the Rebel County.

Brooks’ last performances in Ireland were his epic sold out five nights at Croke Park in September 2022, which remain much “more than a memory” for his legions of Irish fans.

“This has been a dream of mine since the first time we played Ireland. Once you get a taste of how the Irish love music, you can't play there enough!” said Brooks.

Tickets for the dates in Belfast, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick, and Cork go on sale this Thursday 12 November at 8am from Ticketmaster.ie.

He is the biggest selling artist in US history as the first and only artist to pass 200m albums sold. Brooks is also the first and only artist to receive ten RIAA Diamond Awards for ten albums certified at over ten million. According to the RIAA, his album, ‘Double Live’ is the biggest selling live album and the top-selling country album in the US.

Brooks has 20 Billboard #1 singles to his credit and was the first artist to garner top-5 singles at country radio in five consecutive decades—the '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s and '20s.

On 7 August 1997, Brooks drew the largest crowd ever to attend a concert in New York’s Central Park with an audience of somewhere between 850,000 and 1.2m fans. He has been awarded virtually every accolade an entertainer can receive, including the Kennedy Centre Honors and the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. He is the only seven-time recipient of the CMA Entertainer of the Year award. He was named ACM Artist of the Decade for the 1990s and Pollstar’s Country Touring Artist of the Decade in 2021. He has received 2 GRAMMY Awards, 17 American Music Awards, and 12 People’s Choice Awards.
