Food blogger Cathy Fitzgibbon has added a chapter of her own to a series of books on mental health for millennials.

Foods, truths and moods

A Cork food writer has decided to trim the fat and get back to basic truths about food and its connection with wellbeing and mental health.

Cathy Fitzgibbon, aka The Culinary Celt, has just contributed a chapter to the fourth volume of the book series ‘Mental Health for Millennials’.

Cathy felt the lockdown offered the perfect opportunity for her to get her message out there and to promote mindful eating.

The chapter The Millennial Appetite for Culinary Wellness addresses the dieting culture and the unhealthy relationships many teens and young adults have with food and other issues like communication and wearable technologies.

Cathy says she is not someone who advocates a “particular type of diet” but explores different types of natural food sources while appreciating the fact that everyone has differing requirements when it comes to food.

Having experienced first-hand the various negative relationships that many people have with food Cathy says she wants to enable others to rediscover a more positive love, appreciation and understanding around issue.

The ‘Mental Health for Millennials’ book series is published by Book Hub Publishing Group which is now the largest independent publishing house in the west of Ireland.
