Fuzion makes two senior appointments
A Cork PR firm has appointed two highly experienced corporate communications account managers who boast considerable global knowledge.
Maria Daly and Niall Dologhan have joined Fuzion Communications’ senior advisory team bringing international expertise in media strategy, reputation management, and executive advisory.
The appointments come as Fuzion celebrates 25 years in business and brings Fuzion’s corporate communications team to eight members.
Maria Daly, who holds a masters in Irish political history and is a certified public affairs practitioner, has joined the firm as a Senior Corporate Account Manager and Media Trainer.
She brings over two decades of experience with her, from broadcast journalism to corporate communications with CEO and C-suite executive consultancy across aviation, investment and sovereign wealth sectors. She has a track record of building reputations during times of public scrutiny in the EU, UK and the Middle East.
Her international career highlights include leading content strategy and CEO communications at Qatar Airways Group during the FIFA World Cup. Maria’s interview work with the BBC on the future of aviation was recognised at the 2024 Aerospace Media Awards.
For over three years she spearheaded external financial communications for Qatar’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, managing stakeholder communications and representing the fund at the UN.
Earlier in her career, she produced Al Jazeera’s flagship business programme ‘Counting the Cost’. She worked as a live TV producer for Bloomberg in London and reported for the Wall Street Journal and CNN.
Maria, who will be based in Fuzion’s Cork office, said: “I am delighted to be helping some of Ireland's most impactful businesses craft compelling stories, navigate policy and communicate their value to the region and beyond.”
Niall Dologhan also joins Fuzion as a Senior Corporate Account Manager and Media Trainer, bringing more than 25 years of international experience advising leading brands, government agencies, and multinationals across the UK, USA, Europe, and Asia.
Based for many years in London and Kuala Lumpur, Niall has worked with clients including Intel, Western Digital, MSIG, Marsh McLennan, Rolls-Royce Aerospace, Kelly Services, Dassault Systèmes, Esri, and Fitness First.
His areas of expertise include corporate reputation management, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and media training.
Niall, who has family connections in Ireland will be based in Cork, having moved here from Malaysia. He said: “After more than a decade working in Asia, I’m pleased to be returning to Ireland and joining Fuzion’s corporate communications team. Organisations today face increasingly complex challenges when it comes to protecting and building their reputations, and I look forward to supporting clients with clear, strategic advice and international perspective.”
