Woman dies in East Cork collision

A woman in her 60s has been killed in a crash in East Cork.

The two-vehicle collision happened shortly after 6pm on Monday evening on the N25 between Midleton and Youghal near the Two Mile Inn.

A man in his 60s travelling in the same vehicle as the woman was taken to CUH with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Investigating gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

Any road users travelling in the area between 6-6.30pm who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make it available to gardaí.

The N25 Midleton to Youghal Road was closed after the accident but has since reopened.
