All things bright and beautiful

Carnival colour has made a return not only to the catwalk but also to our makeup bags. Don’t despair if you aren’t incredible at eyeliner or fantastic at sparkle, because you can mute the colour while remaining on trend.

Here are some of my absolute favourite brights to help you create a festival or concert look for the long hot summer we are all hoping for!

Vibrant neon hues have been catching the eyes of many this year and after the 2019 SS fashion shows, the verdict was made: neon is officially back! And for full on glam, let’s not forget glitter. Forget loose pigments that leave residue everywhere, this week I have one stroke glam.

Huda has created three pocket -sized pallettes for you to enjoy at just €29.99, anyone that is familiar with her other palettes will know how unbelievably blendable the colours are.

Neon Pink Obsessions is a vibrant collection of five mattes and four duo chrome shades of the most flattering pinks, purples and corals which easily build up to bold, monochromatic looks or can be used to create a subtler, iridescent glow.

Neon Orange Obsessions is a tropical collection of six mattes and three duo chrome shades of the most eye-popping yellows, oranges and pinks that seamlessly blend together or powerfully stand alone.

Neon Green Obsessions is a perfectly curated collection of three mattes and six duo chrome shades of greens, pinks and neutrals.

Makeup artist extraordinaire and creative genius Ciara McKeown, also known as Ciaciaxo to her 64,300 Instagram followers, has partnered with Inglot to introduce the Ciaciaxo’s Colour Collective palette.

The Inglot palette (€30) consists of eight highly pigmented shadows inspired by the colours of the rainbow and designed by Ciara herself. It is an eye-catching addition to any makeup lover’s collection featuring a combination of six vibrant shades in addition to a smouldering black and crisp white shadow to complete the perfect look. The easy to blend formula and bright colour range makes it easy to create both subtle and dramatic looks at home.

Addictive, obsessional, like a rush of colour, the metallic vibrations of YSL Sequin Crush Mono Eyeshadows are both eye-catching and edgy. For 2019 YSL Beauté brings a re-mastered eye collection that is louder, bolder, stronger and with new packaging, formulations, and colours to inspire serious eye-envy. Set a starry gaze with just one stroke of the finger. With two new textures and ten new shades, there is a look for everyone, whether they are worn on their own or blended together.

If you can’t quite commit to an eye look that is neon, then why not accessorise with these colourful comrades.
