Good hair day please

Hair tools are some of my favourite items to gift at Christmas. As someone that is in the know about them, I love giving friends and family the gift of a great hair day. Consider as well that they are really practical gifts, most people use styling tools or a hairdryer a few times a week.

I did some research recently myself and have found that there is a bigger range than ever now on the market. Here are the ones that came up trumps, and don’t worry, there is something for everyone!

The Formawell Beauty x Kendall Jenner hair tools are the perfect gift whether you’re a beginner or beauty expert. You don’t have to be a Kendall fan to enjoy this line of products. The stunning packaging exudes luxury while still being affordable and the quality results would make one think you just stepped off the Victoria’s Secret catwalk.

The main stars of this line up are the 1” Pro Flat Iron (€79.99) and Curler (€59.99). Both tools feature adjustable, controlled temperatures up to 230C, an automatic one hour shut-off and dual voltage plug. The titanium plates are enveloped in a 24K gold mineral blend that allows hair to glide easily through without any pulling, static, smoking, or hot spots. The result? Smooth, shiny hair with less damage and styles that hold all day.

But the tool that really blows you away (pun intended) is the Ionic Gold Pro Dryer (€89.99). A hairdryer is a hairdryer, right? Not with this quiet and extremely lightweight model. With a powerful 1875 watt motor and multiple heat and airflow settings, its patented ionic gold and infrared technology pulls the water molecules from the hair instead of blasting them out with intense heat. If you are investing in one for you or a loved one, then this range is affordable. There are two brushes also available, a paddle and a round brush for €19.99 each.

Want a pro finish at home? Try the Voduz hair straightener (€129.99) with infrared technology which smoothes every cuticle whilst straightening the hair. It's an ultra-sleek, one inch flat iron, which straightens hair, increases shine and with rounded edges, gets every single hair. This was developed by Denise of Pelo, one of Ireland's most respected hairdressers. The rounded titanium heating plate lets you style a straight or wavy look. Floating plates allow both plates to clamp correctly and adjust depending on the angle of the hair being straightened. I have seen so many salons using this which is a testament to the quality of the product.

Make your stunning curls last longer with Remington PROluxe Heated Rollers (€49.99). Lock in beautiful bouncy curls that stay all day thanks to Dual Heat Technology, which intelligently heats both the rollers and the clips – creating perfectly formed curls all over. And with rollers that heat in just 90 seconds, curls that set in five minutes, and two different sizes of roller, you’ve got everything you need to be out the door with a standout look.

The 1” Cerasilk Wand (€89.99) delivers an expert level look in seconds. Designed using the same technology as the sell-out Cerasik Styling Iron, the wand features a woven ceramic texture that creates micro subsurface recesses that generate hot pockets of air with intense, radiant, heat thus eliminating direct contact between your hair and the wand. This technology acts as a built-in heat protector to defend against damage with every twist of hair.

Also unique to the Cerasilk Wand is the innovative cool touch grip tip, featuring silicone bristles that gently grasp the hair to allow you hands-free wrapping and the ability to secure the hair to ensure the perfect style. This patented, clip-free design also prevents breakage and creases in the hair.
