Protect the skin you're in!
I have had to become slightly more outdoorsy with the closure of my gym. I am less inclined, as a result, to venture out without SPF - although the weather has been a bit erratic, the UVA rays are always there. I have also included some pharmacy favourites to help keep the whole family protected as, according to the forecast, we are due sun!
Face
Dermalogica Invisible Physical Defence SPF 30 (€59) is blendable and invisible on all skin tones, which is superb. Say goodbye to the thick, white residue that physical sunscreens leave behind! This product is a weightless sunscreen that helps defend against UVA/UVB and blue light and soothes all skin types, including sensitive skin. It contains ultra-sheer zinc oxide for broad-spectrum/blue light protection. The science bit is the bioactive mushroom complex, which helps soothe skin and reduce UV-induced redness and dryness.
The important antioxidant green tea helps to fight free-radical skin damage. The product is certified cruelty-free, gluten-free and vegan to fit more lifestyles and is going to be a staple for me for summer.
Eucerin Sensitive Protect Sun Fluid Mattifying (€18.50) is an everyday sunscreen that protects and mattifies sensitive and oily skin. Unperfumed and with an ultra-light, non-greasy texture, it does not leave an oily shine on the skin and is a great base for makeup.
Eucerin Photoaging Control Sun Fluid (€23) is an everyday facial sunscreen for all skin types. The anti-age sunscreen also includes glycyrrhetinic acid which supports skin's own DNA repair mechanism. The formula is further enriched with short and long-chained hyaluronic acid and visibly reduces wrinkles on the face and décolleté. Both Eucerin products here are available in SPF30 or SPF50+.
Body
For the body, one of the best products is the P20 Continuous Spray (€25.50). It’s easily absorbed and great for if you’re headed out for a walk or to the garden.
