A fresh clean start

Cleansing has often been overlooked by many as an important step in an excellent regimen. Here are some recent innovative launches to help you cleanse with confidence!

L- Luxury M- Makeup R- Remover (€12), is a pack of two microfibre soft pads that you can use with your favourite cleanser. The LMR by Beaut Essential is the ultimate first step in your cleansing routine. You can say goodbye to face wipes and hello to your eco-friendly, sustainable makeup remover.

The first step to removing your makeup has never been so easy. Simply wet the LMR with warm or cool water and it will remove your makeup. Personally, I prefer to use with a cleanser, but I do wear quite heavy makeup. The microfibre technology traps makeup particles making your nightly cleanse a dream. You can buy them at beautessential.com and use the code Glamity15 for 15 per cent off anything you want to purchase on the site.

Nuxe has just launched its Very Rose collection recently for cleansing. My favourite is the Creamy Make-up Remover Milk. Its secret ‘milk in oil’ texture removes makeup very gently and comfortably, with no oily finish. The Very Rose Delicate Cleansing Oil ensures perfect respect for the skin thanks to a comforting formula containing sweet almond oil and a rose oil extract. After rinsing with water, it leaves no oily or sticky film.

Very Rose Radiance Night Peeling Lotion is an innovative product that is applied every evening for a gentle and progressive ‘new skin’ effect. Enriched with salicylic acid and four fruit acids, day after day, its formula removes the outer layers of the epidermis for skin that appears renewed. This daily exfoliation refines the skin’s texture and reveals its radiance. My advice? Use preferably in the evening to avoid exposure to the sun.

The Very Rose Ultra-Fresh Cleansing Gel Mask is applied to the face and left for one minute and then massaged to effectively remove impurities before rinsing. Skin is left deeply cleansed and freed from pollution particles.

Ultraceuticals is an Australian brand. Its Ultra Clear Foaming Cleanser (€42.00) is ideal for oily and congested skin. The lightweight cleanser helps to improve surface shine and remove sdirt and impurities, helping to unclog those tough pores. This cleanser leaves the skin feeling deeply clarified and perfectly balanced.

Ultraceuticals Ultra Hydrating Milk Cleanser (€39) is formulated to gently cleanse and nourish the skin, effectively removing makeup and daily residue so you can be sure you’re going to bed with fresh and clean skin. It is also light and gentle on the skin and it cleanses without stripping the skin of its natural oils.

Trilogy Vitamin C Polishing Powder is a non-abrasive, freshly activated powder exfoliant that gently buffs, brightens and smooths skin. Once activated with water, this polishing powder becomes a foaming milk that helps remove dead skin cells and reveals a more illuminated, youthful looking complexion with antioxidant vitamin C, energising mandarin, and orange extracts and mattifying rice starch. It's suitable for all skin types, especially those with uneven skin tones or those looking for a radiance boost.

Sally Cleanse by Skingredients (€25) is formulated with two per cent salicylic acid, the highest amount of salicylic acid permitted for use in skincare in the EU. Sally’s rock star ingredient is salicylic acid, an oil-soluble exfoliating acid, which means that it can dissolve oil and dead skin cells in our pores to help prevent congestion such as blackheads, whiteheads, lumps and bumps while assisting in our skin’s natural exfoliation process and aiding in oil regulation.
