When you were small, what did you want to be as a grown-up?

I always wanted to own my own business (entrepreneur).

Tell us about your career progression to your role today

I studied business administration in Cork Institute of Technology 2012 to 2016. I graduated with a first class honours degree, and as part of my course, I did an eight months work placement with Elil Lilly in Little Island in supply chain.

I went ahead to work in a family owned multi media company (GEPstudios) in Nigeria in 2017 where I produced two films 'Children of Mud' (currently on Amazon Prime) and most recent 'Osato'. Filming is a passion for me. I came back to Cork in 2019 to take on a masters degree programme in University College Cork where I am currently studying Management Information and Managerial Accounting Systems.

What is the most enjoyable aspect of what you do?

The most enjoyable aspect of what I do is the fact that I am able to use my passion for film making to tell stories with positive impact in society as well as progress in my career of becoming an entrepreneur one day.

What motivates you?

Success is what motivates me.

What advice would you give your 15 year old self?

Believe more in myself, make mistakes and learn from them.

If you weren’t in the job you have, what would you be doing?

I'd be travelling, meeting new people, learning new cultures and exploring the beauty of our world.

What is your greatest life or career achievement to-date?

Having the opportunity to produce films and also progressing my career by pursuing a masters degree.

Who has had the biggest influence on you in your life?

My family is the biggest influence in my life because they have always supported me in everything I do or plan to do.

What is the life dream now?

To complete my masters degree programme, to progress in my passion for film making and hopefully to set up my own business.

How do you switch off?

By taking breaks when needed.

What is your favourite Cork memory?

The friendly environment, the fact that people walk up to you to say hello and to want to get to know you, irrespective of race.

What is your favourite place in Cork?

Fota Island.

Do you have a favourite quote or motto?

'Life is too short' and 'live, love, learn'.

When are you at your happiest?

When I am around family and friends.

Any regrets?

I've no regrets because I always try to learn from my mistakes.

What is your hidden talent?

What might we be surprised to know about you?

I am a shy person (people never believe me when I say this!).

Anything else you’d like to share with us?

I am a member of the Fermoy International Choir.

I mention this choir because it has a huge significance in my life as an immigrant living in Cork.

It promotes diversity with over 60 different nationalities present in the choir, living in Cork for the past 10 years it’s through this choir that I have started getting to know people that I often pass on the streets a bit more.
