The 50 Plus Expo returns

A popular lifestyle event will return to Cork next month. The 50 Plus Expo, a two day event aimed at the over 50s, will take place at Cork City Hall with organisers promising an experience which will entertain, enlighten and educate.

The event has been running all over Ireland for more than 20 years and offers visitors displays, demonstration and presentations on a myriad of areas, including health, personal finance, tax and legal issues, consumers advice, plus travel, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, craft workshops and much more.

Highlights of the show include a talk on both days from personal finance expert Sinead Ryan on Home Economics: Insurance, Pensions and the Fair Deal.

International coin and stamp expert Mike Kelly and other specialists will be on hand to give free valuations of coins, stamps, medals and banknotes. Mike recently unearthed a collection of coins worth €15,000 at a 50 Plus event.

The expo will also have genealogy experts to assist people who are interested in tracing their family history, workshops on knitting, crocheting, weaving and hat making, free wine tastings and three cooking demonstrations each day

The 50 Plus Expo runs from 11am until 5pm from 7-8 March. To register for free admission go to seniortimes.ie or backtoourpast.ie.
