New website for pregnant women

A network of maternity hospitals and units across the south of Ireland have set up a website with advice on Covid-19 for pregnant women.

Coronavirus.irelandsouthwid.ie features information on how to educate, prepare and protect yourself as an expectant mother, listing useful websites from trusted sources.

Prof John R Higgins, Clinical Director, Ireland South Women and Infants Directorate, said: “This website seeks to address the key questions women will have when pregnant during the Covid-19 pandemic, and will be kept up-to-date with the latest research and resources for women in the south of Ireland.”

Katie Bourke, Director of Midwifery, Cork University Maternity Hospital, said: “We’re delighted to offer our expectant mothers this valuable trusted resource which aims to contain or link to all the key information they need to know to support them during the Covid-19 pandemic.”
