Apply to CIT today
Applications for continuing education courses are currently being accepted at Cork Institute of Technology.
The college, which also incorporates CIT Cork School of Music, CIT Crawford College of Art & Design, and the National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI), has many opportunities available for those wishing to return to education. Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the disciplines of business and accounting, human resource management, computer science, engineering, science, humanities, art, music and the maritime area are available as well as Springboard programmes and customised and in-company training.
Internationally recognised degree qualifications which provide students with essential skills and practical/professional knowledge are very much in demand and, with this in mind, CIT offers a range of opportunities in part-time education.
Whether you are building on existing skills or developing new ones, CIT offers the opportunity to study on programmes that are designed around people with busy lives. This year, given current Covid-19 guidelines, students will be required to attend on-campus lectures to a lesser extent than in previous years and will be supported through a blend of online and on-campus delivery.
Dr Barry O’Connor, President of CIT, underlined the strategic importance of CIT’s part-time and professional course provision to the region.
According to President O’Connor: “CIT’s courses are designed with input from industry and business experts, as well as from community and cultural leaders, from the initial concept development stage all the way through to design and development. These courses are designed to increase the employability of students, enhance career development prospects, ensure a supply of talented graduates for business and industry, and to support the development of start-up companies and small-to-medium sized businesses, as well as multinational enterprises.
“As CIT joins with IT Tralee to establish the Munster Technological University (MTU), our overall capacity to support the region in the part-time and professional domain will increase and help all stakeholders address the very significant challenges that will face us arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.”
CIT’s Continuing Education Prospectus for 2020/21 is available at cit.ie/part-time, where online applications may also be submitted.
