Paul Connell's art on show

An award winning Cork artist is presenting the fruits of his labour at Cork County Council’s main library.

Cork County Council Library and Arts Service is showcasing 'BOLG: An Artist's Autopsy', an exhibition by Paul Connell who was the recipient of the Cork County Council Emerging Solo Visual Artist Award for 2019.

Having graduated CIT Crawford College of Art and Design in 2019 with first class honours, Paul has gone on to receive a series of awards.

'BOLG: An Artist's Autopsy' includes a suite of new charcoal drawings and some of his earlier works.

Mayor of the County of Cork Cllr Mary Linehan Foley said: “We welcome the opportunity to showcase Paul Connell’s work at our LHQ Gallery at County Library Headquarters. Cork County Council is committed to supporting emerging artists through this Artist Award Scheme and we hope that as many people as possible can come to view the exhibition and enjoy the work of this talented young artist.”

'BOLG: An Artist’s autopsy' is running in the LHQ Gallery at Cork County Hall for all of September, subject to Covid-19 public health guidelines.
