Time to get back in the game?

It’s been a most unusual year and many people have been impacted by a lack of social interaction, challenging mental health issues or loss of employment.

People miss the simple things like being able to go dancing, socialising or meeting up with friends for a coffee and catch up. Or simply being able to get in your car and go for a drive to a scenic location.

A lot of people have booked staycations and look forward to being able to leave their own county bounds and head for the west of Ireland or somewhere that isn’t within 5km of home. There is finally a light at the end of the tunnel with the roll out of vaccinations and most people is keen to get back to a new semblance of normality again.

During the last year a lot of people who are single, separated, divorced or widowed came to realise they would prefer being part of a couple than being on their own. They had plenty of time to think and realised that life can be sweeter when you have someone special to share the ups and downs of life with.

Eithne Buckley of Twoheartsmeet dating agency is celebrating her 10th year in business this year. Due to Covid, she has had to put everyone's membership on hold for the last number of months and is relieved to be able to finally start matching people on her database again. Even if they just meet up to go for a socially distanced walk, single and unattached people can finally meet other singletons again with the hope of finding their soul mate.
