There will be portaloo toilets placed at popular outdoor locations around Carrigaline this summer.

Toilets for Carrigaline

Outdoor portaloo toilets will be provided in key areas across Carrigaline this summer with large crowds of staycationers expected in the coming months.

The toilets will be provided by the Carrigaline Municipal District at popular recreational areas over a 13-week period between June and August.

These areas include Rocky Bay, Crosshaven, Myrtleville, Church Bay, Fountainstown, Roberts Cove, Kilnagleary carpark, Roberts Bridge carpark, and the People’s Park.

The good news was confirmed by Independent Cllr Ben Dalton O’Sullivan who said huge credit is due to the Carrigaline Municipal District for making the arrangements.

“This is very positive and welcome news as we move into the summer months.

“I’m pleased to see the outdoor portaloos being made available to people at these locations,” he said.

Cllr Dalton O’Sullivan also provided an update on the public toilets at the new Haulbowline Amenity Park, confirming that they are now operational.

He added that the Cobh Municipal District would arrange for the toilets to be cleaned daily.
