Leeside loves surprises!

The Kino is back once again having just announced its surprise reopening and a funky makeover to boot.

In a statement posted on its Instagram page, the iconic former cinema on Washington Street wrote: “Surprise Surprise – The Kino has reopened with a new crew and management!

“Come on in and say hello to the new team who will be serving @corkcoffeeroasters all week long!”

Having closed its doors back in February while under the operation of event organisers The Good Rooms, The Kino has taken on many guises over the years.

It is still not entirely clear what plans the new operators have for the space, but they certainly seem excited.

“We have so much in store over the coming months and we are thrilled to celebrate this amazing space with the people of Cork once more.

“Did we mention it’s got a makeover inside? Come check out the new seating and colourful new additions to the wall!” the statement continued.
