Cork’s Gay Project is on a mission to make Cork the best place in Ireland to be gay.

Gay Project offers support and information

An ambitious plan to make Cork the best place in Ireland to be LGBTQI+ is still going strong on Leeside after three years in practise.

Back in 2019, Cork-based support organisation Gay Project launched its ‘Making Cork the Best Place to be LGBT+’ policy.

The group, which offers support to gay, bi+, trans, MSM and queer men, was the first group in Ireland to call for the installation of rainbow crossings at key and prominent locations in its locality.

Gay Project celebrates gender and sexual diversity and advocates for gay, bi+, trans, MSM and queer men.

It does this in four key ways:

- By running events and social, sporting and cultural groups for GBTQI+ Men.

- By campaigning for LGBTQI+ human rights and policy protections.

- Through delivering workshops, talks and training.

- By providing information and resources to GBTQI+ men and their families.
