Win a dream house in Clon

It’s probably never been harder to buy a house but three Cork GAA clubs have banded together to create a great opportunity.

#WinAGaff is the brainchild of Fermoy, Douglas and St James’ GAA clubs who decided to work together to build a better future for their communities by giving away a brand new three-bedroom house in Clonakilty.

A new A-rated, three-bedroom, semi-detached family home in The Miles could be yours. The house is worth over €300,000, and the lucky winner will live in it mortgage-free.

Meanwhile, a 1.8 Toyota C-HR Hybrid Luna worth €32,860 goes to second place, and €5,000 in cash to the third-place winner.

Tickets cost €100, and all proceeds will go towards much-needed developments in all three clubs, including a half-size all-weather pitch, dressing rooms, viewing and players area and a walkway to make a safe area for the local community to exercise and congregate.

Aidan O’Connor, Douglas GAA Chairperson, said: “We all know how difficult it is to get on the property ladder and what a difference this prize could make; it could be a young couple or a family’s forever home. You wouldn’t think twice about spending €100 on a concert ticket. Instead, you could win the home of your dreams in Clonakilty. You will also be helping three local sports clubs support and invest in the next generation of players.”

Fermoy GAA Chairperson Brendan Keane said: “Our club dates back to 1886, but our numbers are still growing. We want to keep attracting new members as the local population increases, and as part of that, we have ambitious plans for the re-development of Fitzgerald Park. This competition will help those plans become a reality.”

The closing date for purchase is 9 January 2022. The winning ticket being drawn on 15 January.
