Last year's event was a big success.

Women in Business Expo returns this weekend

The Women in Business Expo is set to return this weekend, just a few days after International Women's Day.

It is the first of its kind in Ireland and launched in 2021 in Cork.

After last year's success, they are running the event again at the Marina Market in Cork city on 12 and 13 March.

The event showcases women in business from services to retail.

Organisers say it’s the perfect place for women to come and network if they are interested in going into business.

Organisers say it is the perfect place for those in business to network and also people who love supporting businesses.

“We are delighted this March to be sponsored by the LEO Cork City and Keary's Motors which have made it possible for us to offer this to more new businesses on a tight budget,” said organiser Sian Horn.

The Women in Business Expo is the brainchild of Sian Horn. She set up The Club in Cork in 2020 - a learning and support online network for women in business so they can learn the fundamentals they need to run their business whilst feeling part of a community and being able to reach out to like-minded individuals

Women in The Club mentioned there wasn’t a live networking event where people could showcase their services and products, so the first expo was created last November. They had a mixture of businesses and 65 stands.

The Women in Business Expo is at the Marina Market on 12 and 13 March from 10am - 4pm.
