Eat out, save money + support local during Dining Week

Dining Week kicked off on Tuesday and hundreds of restaurants have signed up offering people discounted dining and a bonus for charity!

Lasting until 28 April, customers that book via the www.diningweek.ie website will enjoy a 25% discount on their food bill, with their €1 booking fee donated to St Vincent de Paul.

Together with giving a much needed boost to the restaurants, the 10 day promotion is a celebration of a return to normality after years of lockdowns. Available for bookings from 2 to 8 people, Dining Week offers people the chance to gather with friends or family at favourite restaurants, or to discover a new one.

Dining Week is supported by the Restaurants Association of Ireland and Fáilte Ireland, and sponsored by WorldPay from FIS, with over 200 restaurants expected to take part. EarlyTable, the platform hosting Dining Week, expects to reach up to one million customers through its upcoming media campaign and this should result in thousands of people seizing the opportunity to socialise and save.

James Lenehan, the entrepreneur behind the new EarlyTable dining platform said: “It’s been a long and difficult two years for our hospitality industry, and we hope that DiningWeek is the kickstart that’s needed now. A small booking fee is required on the EarlyTable platform, but for Dining Week, we decided to donate the fee to St Vincent de Paul given the great work they are doing to support the hosting of Ukrainian refugees.”

Garrett Clifford of Worldpay, sponsors of Dining Week said: “Worldpay are thrilled to support Early Table with our sponsorship of Dining Week, a fantastic initiative to help and support our restaurant sector in Ireland.”

Adrian Cummins of the Restaurants Association of Ireland said: “We are delighted to introduce Dining Week and see it as an ongoing initiative that will help support the restaurant industry. Dining Week will encourage patrons to re-engage with local eateries and celebrate quality food and hospitality across Ireland.”

Director of Regional Development with Fáilte Ireland, Paul Keeley said: “Food plays an important role in the overall tourism experience and helps create a lasting memory of Irish culture. Dining Week offers a great opportunity for restaurants, giving them total control in terms of flexing their pricing on a dedicated platform that will attract customers, helping to generate footfall and optimise revenue for their business across the days of the week that they target.”
