Some of the pieces from latest collection from Ivy’s Attic.

I'm not myself without jewellery on

I am a complete jewellery addict!

I never understand how people don’t wear it as I feel completely underdressed without it. A simple t-shirt and jeans outfit can be elevated with layers of gold jewellery. A simple summer dress looks so chic with the addition of some classic jewellery pieces or a statement earring. Jewellery quite simply adds your own personal style to an outfit.

If I come to work and have forgotten to put any jewellery on that morning, then I am all out of sorts for the day. I don’t feel dressed without it. It’s also a great present for someone once you know what their style is of course, and I like to mark all special occasions with a purchase of a piece of jewellery. A keepsake that you’ll always wear as most jewellery is so timeless especially the pieces from Ivy’s Attic.

This week I am saying a very happy second birthday to one of my favourite Cork jewellers. That’s Ivy’s Attic which sells the best vintage and vintage-inspired jewellery. To celebrate, they have just launched a new collection.

As Sean, the owner said: “I really can't believe how far Ivy's Attic has come in two short years. I started it as a hobby with my sister during lockdown when I was going through quite a difficult period in my life. I never would have dreamed that it would develop into a proper business. We have had customers in almost all the counties of Ireland and have shipped to five continents so far.

“We have also established a really strong business at the Marina Market and have the most amazing, loyal customers. I've gone from doing everything myself to employing a small team, as well as working with great local creative talent to help to elevate the brand. I am so grateful for all the support so far and am really excited for the future of Ivy's Attic Jewellery.”

The summer collection builds on the success of the popular Touch of Gold range with a range of rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets, finished in a very-high quality 18 carat gold plating, for long-lasting sparkle.

The summer collection has a very celestial feel as well as introducing some pearl pieces. The collection is full of delicate pieces that work well worn on their own for a more paired back feel or layered together for a subtle but also statement making look.

The string of pearls looks amazing layered with slinky gold chains and the rings are delicate enough that you could stack a few together. If you like a hoop earring, then the collection is for you with everything from classic huggie styles to an interesting triangle hoop. The teardrop gold hoop has a delicate feel while the Avallon gold textured huggie is a little chunkier.

There’s such a great selection that the types of looks you can create with the collection is endless. The celestial vibe in this collection adds a beautiful touch and Silao gold north star bracelet would be a beautiful present for someone and looks fab when layered with some of the more link bracelet styles. Prices range from €29-€69 and is available online or at their store at the Marina Market.
