Cork charity shortlisted from hundreds of entrants

A paw-some Cork charity is 1 of 3 shortlisted for a national award.

Bear’s Paw it Forward has been shortlisted from hundreds of entrants for the Burns Charity of the Year Awards.

Now in its 5th year, the award recognises and rewards the outstanding achievements of animal welfare organisations throughout Ireland.

Rose Burns from Bear’s Paw it Forward said: “We are so excited to be shortlisted for the Burns Charity of the Year because a lot of the giving we do is pet food packages for shelters and the homeless and so to get support like pet food for a year would allow us to expand our services.

It would be a life changing win for a small charity like us,” added Rose Burns.

Burns Pet Nutrition offers animal charities, shelters and rescue centers the opportunity to showcase the great work they do by inviting animal welfare charities to apply for the esteemed Burns Charity of the Year Award.

John Burns, Founder of Burns Pet Nutrition said: “Bear’s Paw it Forward is exactly the type of charity that we aim to support through the Burns Charity of the Year Awards.

“They are the first charity of this kind to be registered in Ireland, supporting animal rescues that support the homeless pets across Ireland. We wish all at Bear’s Paw It Forward the best of luck!,” concluded John Burns.
