Host families needed

Would you like to host a secondary student from abroad and earn some money?

For over 30 years, High Schools International (HSI) has placed international students in Irish secondary schools in Cork and the rest of the country.

They are now looking host families for students due to start their studies for their next year (late August 2022-early June 2023).

HSI say they offer very competitive weekly rates, refer-a-friend schemes and bonus payments for host families

Host families are fully supported by a team of student advisors, an operations team and a dedicated 24/7 emergency phone facility. Students are due to start their studies at:

1. Coláiste Éamann Rís in Ballyphehane

2. Colaiste Chriost Ri in Turner’s Cross

3. Coláiste Muire in Crosshaven

4. Douglas Community School in Douglas

5. Edmund Rice Catholic College in Kilnaglery.

HSI aim that every student will have a successful and positive experience while studying in Ireland. Central to this experience is the family who makes the decision to welcome this student into their home.

Kelly from Cork has experience of hosting with HSI: “Our family has been hosting students for many years from High Schools International. We enjoy welcoming the students into our home and helping them with their studies.

“HSI provides an excellent backup service with a 24 hour phone number and regular visits to the host families and schools. I would highly recommend High Schools International for hosting.”

As founding members of the Association of Guardianship Providers Ireland (AGPI), they are regularly inspected to ensure that students and families can be assured of safety, security and standards.
