A local GAA fundraiser is expected to draw interest from across the globe.

That was the sentiment of Cork GAA club Russell Rovers as it launched a fundraiser which offers the winners exclusive access to 12 of the world’s top sporting events in 2023.

Funds raised by Russell Rovers will be put towards the construction of new dressing rooms at the East Cork club.

A maximum of 5,000 tickets will be available for the 100K Sports Pass Draw. It costs €100 to enter, but 8 lucky winners will be able to choose from a list that includes the Super Bowl, WrestleMania and the Masters.

Other events included on the list are the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Cheltenham Festival, the Rugby World Cup Final, the Champions League Final, the Wimbledon Final, FIFA Women’s World Cup, All Ireland Final, Rugby’s European Cup and the Ryder Cup.

Not only will the winners receive 2 tickets for their chosen event, they will also receive flights, transfers and accommodation at their destination.

As part of the launch, a Super September prize has been added for early entries, 2 hospitality tickets to the England vs Wales game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, flights, and six nights in a 5 star hotel in Dubai with return transfers on match day.

Michael Mannion, Chairperson of Russell Rovers GAA club said: “GAA clubs have always come up with innovative ways of fundraising, we have scoured the internet to find a similar draw to this, and could not find one. The fact that we can offer tickets for some of the most sought after events in 2023 will be a huge draw not just for sports fans in Cork, but right around the world.

“We estimate the value of the prize at approximately €100,000, but for the winners, the tickets will be priceless. As an incentive, we will also be staging a series of monthly draws offering equally incredible prices. If people enter in September, then they will be automatically entered into a draw for a first round World Cup match in Qatar, with accommodation and flights also covered.”

Tickets for the draw are available from sportspass.ie with the draw scheduled to take place on 30 December.
