Having a ball

Fancy getting all dressed up for a great cause? This charity ball is just the ticket!

Trigon Hotels announced on Tuesday that it is hosting the charity ball in aid of Cope Foundation and Ability@Work. The gala event will take place at the Cork International Hotel on Friday 21 October and tickets are on sale now.

Cope Foundation is Trigon Hotels’ charity of choice for 2021 and 2022. The organisation supports over 2,800 children and adults with an intellectual disability and/or autism across Cork city and county to live a life of their choosing.

Trigon Hotels has been partnering with Cope Foundation and its Ability@Work programme over the past 2 years. Ability@Work provides work preparation training and employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

Emer, who is supported by Cope Foundation, said: “Thanks to Cope Foundation's Ability@Work Programme and Trigon Hotels, I now work with the breakfast team in the Cork International Hotel, I love my job. Everyone is so friendly. I'm really looking forward to the ball in October. It will be great to get dressed up and dance the night away with all my friends.”

Aaron Mansworth, Managing Director of Trigon Hotels said: “We are very proud of our collaboration with Ability@Work as it allows us to create job opportunities for people supported by Cope Foundation. We want our hotels to be as diverse and inclusive as possible and having team members of all abilities and backgrounds, who are passionate about their job is central to that.

“The charity ball is an opportunity to celebrate the successful relationship that has flourished between Trigon Hotels and Cope Foundation in recent years as well as raising much needed funds for the organisation.”

Tickets are €100 per person or €1,000 for a table of 10. For more information or to purchase tickets contact The Cork International Hotel on 021-4549800 or The Metropole Hotel on 021-4643700.
