It’s all glow!

Bishop Lucey Park has been transformed into a winter wonderland for the festive season once again.

GLOW, A Cork Christmas Celebration which is organised by Cork City Council opened recently and saw the return of drummers, dancers, hoola-hoopers, golden egg laying geese, splendid swans and at least one new bird, which definitely won’t fit in that pear tree!

As part of GLOW, enjoy fantastic views of Cork city on the 30 metre ferris wheel which will stay in place until early January, as will the classic carousel.

And even more joy will ring out on Emmet Place, as a Christmas Market will take place the weekends of 10 and 11 and 17 and 18 December, featuring some of Ireland’s talented craftspeople, makers and producers alongside delicious treats at the street food stalls.

A host of singers and choirs will also perform at the festive market.

GLOW will take place on: • Friday 2 December to Sunday 4 December • Friday 9 December to Sunday 11 December • Friday 16 December to Sunday 18 December

Bishop Lucey Park will be open on these dates from 4-8pm. The ferris wheel will be open daily from 12-9pm until 8 January but with some early closing dates.
