The event takes place on 22 March.

Develop your inner resilience and strength

It is no secret that life can be challenging. Life throws many challenges and difficulties our way. We all encounter problems we never foresee and many difficulties we cannot avoid.

Sometimes we cope with these adversities but often we feel overwhelmed and struggle to cope.

Everyone needs the personal and mental ability to adapt and cope with stress and adversity. We cannot avoid all the difficulties so learning how to adapt is key.

Imagine having the inner strength and emotional resilience to be able to bounce back whatever challenges and difficulties life throws at you. Imagine when difficulties arise in your personal life, family life, or workplace; instead of feeling overwhelmed and stuck, you feel empowered to deal with this adversity.

The good news is that this is very possible for each of us. We can become stronger than we think, more flexible than we ever imagined and more confident that we ever thought possible.

So how do we do this?

On Wednesday 22 March, Tara Kadampa of Meditation Centre Cork will host a public talk on Resilience – Developing Inner Strength with special guest teacher Kadam Bridget Heyes. She is a senior disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and has been practising Buddhist teachings for over 30 years. She is the NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director of the UK and Ireland.

Kadam Bridget is known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart, and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. Her teachings are exceptionally clear, and she presents profound ideas in a way that are easy to practice and integrate into daily life.

In this public talk, Kadam Bridget will teach us how to cultivate inner strength through training our minds correctly.

People can learn new ways of thinking, and new ways of relating to these challenges, so they have this inner strength to not only cope but thrive. Most importantly, she will inspire from her wealth of practical personal experience of applying these meditation methods and teachings in her own life.

Now more than ever we need resilience, we need to develop our own inner strength.
