City’s latest recruit is recruitment company

Cork City FC’s latest signing may be more than 35 years old but it could still prove to be an astute addition.

The club this week announced that Oxford Global Resources is to be the official talent partner to the club. This means Oxford Global Resources will be displayed on the back of all academy and women’s teams for the next three seasons.

As a leading staffing and consulting company with offices across Europe and North America, they focus on proactively building a network of highly skilled professionals so that they can immediately connect clients to the expertise they need and provide rewarding opportunities for their consultants. Oxford boasts over 35 years of recruitment expertise and specialise in fields where superior resource solutions are most in demand. Their European headquarters is based in Penrose Quay, Cork.

Speaking at the launch of the partnership, Commercial Manager Paul Deasy said: “The relationship with Oxford started on a small scale several years ago and now they have grown into one of our key partners. It is very important that we not only generate new partners, but we want to nurture the ones we have and build on them. Oxford is a prime example of that and we look forward to continuing the prosperous relationship with them over the next few years and beyond.”

Commenting on behalf of Oxford Global Resources, William Lee, Vice President of Legal, Europe added: “We are delighted to announce our continued support of Cork City Football Club. We have been a sponsor to the club since 2019 and this year we are particularly proud to become the official talent partner for the club.”
