The new Permanent TSB branch has opened on High Street in Bishopstown.

New bank branch for Bishopstown

Permanent TSB has opened a new branch in Bishopstown, it recently announced.

As part of a nationwide branch expansion, earlier this year Permanent TSB increased its branch network to 98 locations throughout Ireland with the acquisition of 25 former Ulster Bank branches.

Permanent TSB has invested €25m in refurbishing the branches, installing new ATMs and IT equipment, and new signage and display.

The branches offer cash services and are staffed by colleagues who worked there when the location was owned by Ulster Bank.

Patrick Farrell, Permanent TSB Retail Banking Director, said: “We are delighted to open branches in 25 communities that would otherwise have lost a bank branch from Ulster Bank’s closure. We are offering customers in these communities a very warm welcome, great service and, most importantly, new competition and choice in meeting their personal and business banking needs.”

Eilis Mannion, Permanent TSB Head of Growth and Performance for South and East Region, said: “I am incredibly proud that we have now opened the new Permanent TSB branch on High Street in Bishopstown.

“This is a really significant moment as we reinforce our commitment to supporting customers, in person, in their own communities.”
