A performance of ‘HIT’ will take place in the Corner House.

Bound to be a HIT!

Music fans, mark your calendars!

A special pre-release performance of a new EP called ‘HIT’ by punk poet Wasps vs Humans will take place in the Corner House in Cork on Wednesday 31 May ahead of the official launch of the EP next month.

A sonic assault, 'HIT' is a 4 track EP, devoid of guitars and keyboards and featuring a cacophony of drums, vocals, driving beats and slammed words. Nothing is out of bounds from celebrity presidents, inner city violence, consumerism and fame, Wasps also performs a drum and vocal version of The Fall's ‘Rowch Rumble’ with a bonus track ‘Five Stars’ in collaboration with F.O.W.L (Fat. Old. White. Lad).

Wasps vs Humans has shared the stage with some of Ireland’s and UK’s most well-regarded performers and lyrical geniuses, including John Cooper Clarke, Christy Moore, Whipping boy, Scroobius Pip and a daring opening set for The Fall.

As a musician he has released an album and single with 80s avant garde band 4,000,000 Telephones which gained critical acclaim in the UK national press and made the playlist for BBC radio one John Peel Show.

The EP ‘HIT’ will be available through Wasps vs Humans' Bandcamp page in both physical and download formats from Friday 9 June. In the meantime an exclusive pre-release performance of the EP will take place in The Corner House, alongside some special guests on Wednesday 31 May 7–8pm.
