A one-day wellness retreat , ‘Nourished by Nature’ will take place on Saturday on 15 July.

Get nourished by nature

If you are feeling frazzled why not take time out to reconnect with your inner self and rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit with this day-long retreat?

The 32 acre certified organic farm and living heritage centre set amongst the beautiful scenery of the Blackwater Valley, is the location for those looking for some rest and relaxation in a natural, peaceful setting.

The workshop is the brainchild of Cathy Fitzgibbon, aka The Culinary Celt. Borne out of her love of food, and having experienced first-hand the negative relationships that many people have with it, Cathy’s work involves helping others to rediscover a more positive love and appreciation around food. Cathy’s passion is educating others on how great food can fuel the body and provide the energy needed to both mentally and physically feel good.

Those who attend the day are in for a treat. Starting at 10am with a seasonally selected light breakfast, there will be a root chakra awakening yoga practice followed by a self-reflection and mindful eating workshop. The group will enjoy lunch, prepared using an array of summer-season food staples. Then some fresh air is on the menu and the morning workshop will be put into practice outside in the form of a picnic-style Celebration of the Senses food sensory experience. If you’d like to know more about the event, visit www.theculinarycelt.com or phone Cathy on 086-1895003.
