Investigation launched after death of man in Cobh

Gardaí have launched an investigation after the death of a man in Cobh last night.

The man, who was in his 20s, lost his life following an incident that happened in the Ballyvoloon area of Cobh at 8.30pm.

Gardaí say they are are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.

The man’s body has since been removed to CUH where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.

"The results of which will determine the course of the investigation," say gardaí .
