Cliodhna Montgomery and Julie Bennett prepare for the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in aid of Cork ARC, which takes place on Thursday 14 March.

Hats off to the organisers

Grab that fabulous hat of yours, it’s time for a charity event with a twist!

It’s all about hats, bubbles and afternoon tea next month as the Mad Hatters Tea Party in aid of Cork ARC takes place.

Describing it as “a novel fundraiser”, organisers are busy putting everything in place for the event which is in aid of Cork ARC Cancer Support House.

The organisers said: “All you need is a hat and a ticket to Cork's own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! And even if you don’t wear a hat, then there will be plenty to choose from as milliner Celestine McCoy of Hattitude Kinsale will have a fabulous array of headpieces on show at the event. The Prizes kindly donated by Cork Laser Clinic, The Montenotte Hotel and Designer'd.”

Organised by Cork ARC Board Member Rhona Higgins, the event will raise funds to provide support services for cancer patients in Cork.

The charity event will take place at the Glasshouse in The Montenotte Hotel on Thursday 14 March from 4pm-6pm. Tickets are €70 and available from Cork ARC.
