Candlelit Christmas concerts at Griffith
An unforgettable sensory experience entwined with festive song is coming to Leeside this Friday.
Tomorrow evening, the hugely popular Candlelight Concert Series will return to Cork for a run of performances at The Chapel at Griffith College Cork. Featuring classic Christmas carols, this live, multi-sensory musical experience will transform the Cork city venue with thousands of candles. Candlelight Concerts are a series of music concerts created by Fever aimed at making classical music accessible to everyone. This innovative format represents a special live musical experience through a varied offer of programmes to meet all tastes, played by local musicians, in emblematic venues, with the space and performers illuminated only by candlelight. The series aims to attract a broader audience that might have never considered a classical music concert before, inviting them to connect with the most iconic pieces of the greatest composers and listen to the top hits of well-known artists in a different way.
There will be two different programmes running in Cork from tomorrow (Friday) until 21 December.
The Candlelight: Christmas Classics programme will be performed at 7pm on 13 December, 9pm on 14 December, and 6.30pm on 19 December. The Candlelight Christmas: Love Actually, Home Alone & More programme will be performed at 5pm and 7pm on 14 December, 9pm on 19 December, and at 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm on 21 December.
