New Cork homecare company places patients at its core

Nurse-led homecare is the inspiration behind a new Cork business, which aims to care for people in their own homes.

Abba Homecare have plans to recruit a core team of at least 100 experienced practitioners to begin with, while all staff hired will have significant expertise in geriatric care along with appropriate levels of training and experience in relevant settings.

Abba Homecare plans to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate services to all users, focusing on providing appropriate care levels that align with individual preferences within people’s own homes. Such an approach ensures the company’s values of respect, believing in the dignity of each individual. Abba Homecare has been established by a team of three founders, each with significant experience in nursing homes and hospital environments but with a shared understanding that many patients with disabilities or those less independent due to age want to be thoughtfully cared for in their own homes for as long as possible.
