Fun in Doneraile as festival returns

Doneraile will be awash with colour and filled with melodies as a lovely festival returns for another year. Doneraile Art Festival will celebrate all things music and art in a fun filled programme of workshops and demonstrations for all ages.

The festival kicks off today, Thursday, with a variety of workshops including willow weaving, storytelling and life drawing.

Visitors can expect a series of exciting activities including yoga, flower arranging, drumming and painting and much more throughout the weekend. There is something to capture the interest and imagination of all.

Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran TD, Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works said: “I am delighted to announce the return of Doneraile Art Festival. The action-packed programme has something for everyone to enjoy, from workshops to yoga to music. The festival also provides a wonderful opportunity to explore Doneraile and all that is on offer across the weekend.”

The festival culminates on Sunday with a Plein air competition followed by prize giving and music. For more information on the Plein air competitions, see doneraileartfest.com/pleinair.
