The people of Cork have been asked to show their full support for the county’s hurlers ahead of the upcoming All-Ireland Final.

To help fans who can’t travel to Dublin, Cork City Council and Cork GAA will host a free Rebel’s Fanzone at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday 20 July. The event will be family-friendly, accessible and open to all.

The Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Fergal Dennehy said: “We are so proud of our Cork hurlers and the hard work they’ve put in to take us back to an All-Ireland Final for what will no doubt be a thrilling match. I know the people of Cork will back their team to the hilt, as they always do.

“Let’s celebrate our heroes and show our support – hang up your flags and banners, light up your businesses and buildings and show your Rebel colours – Corcaigh abú!”

Ticket details will be confirmed on Monday 14 July.

Cork booked their place in the final with a massive win over Dublin, scoring seven goals in a 20-point victory. The Munster champions now face Tipperary in an All-Ireland final clash, with the Liam MacCarthy Cup just one game away.
