Residents move into new homes at Errigal View
Residents are now moving into 28 new social homes in the Glen.
The Errigal View social housing project comprises 22 two-bedroom terraced houses and six three-bedroom semi-detached homes, some designed to meet the needs of residents with additional accessibility requirements.
All 28 homes are A2-rated for energy efficiency.
The layout takes advantage of the steep local landscape, offering views across the Glen Valley to the north.
The design blends naturally with the scale and character of the surrounding houses, helping the new homes feel like part of the existing neighbourhood.
The project also delivers significant public realm improvements. A central amenity space includes a children’s play area, while landscaped green spaces with mature trees provide a welcoming environment. Dedicated residents’ parking is available within a pedestrian-friendly ‘slow zone’, ensuring both safety and easy access.
Cork City Council thanked “local residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the construction process” and wished the new occupants the very best in their homes.
The Errigal View project was designed by the City Architect’s Department.
