Curiosity meets creativity

Benchspace Cork is opening its doors for a special interactive evening as part of Culture Night on Friday 19 September.

Running from 5-8pm at Benchspace HQ in Unit B1b, Marina Commercial Park, the event will feature live craft demonstrations and hands-on activities designed to spark creative curiosity. Visitors can try jewellery making and woodwork with guidance from expert tutors, browse an exhibition of handmade pieces, and meet Benchspace’s vibrant community of makers.

The open night is part of We Act at Culture Night, an initiative led by the We Act campaign in partnership with The Arts Council and local authorities. Now in its fourth year, the programme highlights the creativity and community spirit of charities and not-for-profit organisations across Ireland.

Claire McGowan, We Act Campaign Manager, said the event is about breaking down barriers and celebrating community: “The We Act campaign is delighted to shine a light on the work of Benchspace Cork. Charities play a key part in Irish culture, and Culture Night is the perfect way to showcase their creativity and impact.”

Benchspace Cork provides industry-grade tools, technology and business support for makers, artists and creative start-ups, including hands-on courses.
