Green light for 200 supercars to rev up Cork
Cork is set to roar into action next week as an adrenaline-fuelled supercar event rolls into the county.
More than 200 supercars and hypercars will travel more than 1,000km across Ireland stopping in towns along the route and raising funds for The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.
Cannonball Ireland 2025 will feature the awe-inspiring power of Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren, alongside the elegance of Porsche, Aston Martin, and Maserati. This year, the line-up includes the breathtaking Koenigsegg Regera, a megacar that blends hypercar agility with luxury, and the McLaren Senna, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece spec’d by McLaren Special Operations in a stunning West livery, echoing its Formula 1 counterpart.
The action kicks off on Thursday 11 September at Johnstown Estate in Enfield. Cork spectators can catch the convoy on Friday 12 September with a fuel stop at Circle K Junction 14 in Fermoy from around 12.30pm, followed by a lunch stop at Ballymaloe House Hotel from 1.30-3pm. Families and car enthusiasts can get up close to the cars and enjoy the carnival-style atmosphere.
After leaving Cork, the convoy heads to Killarney for its first overnight stop. On Saturday 13 September, the cars travel from Killarney through Limerick to Sligo, finishing in Sligo town centre at 6pm. The final leg on Sunda 14 September, takes the supercars from Sligo to Naas, ending with a dramatic finish featuring live performances, street entertainers, DJs, and celebrities.
Cannonball is more than a display of luxury cars. The event has raised over €2 million for Irish charities to date and brings a festival atmosphere wherever it stops. Free family events include live DJs, giant screens, Brazilian dancers, street performers, and interactive activities. Spectators are encouraged to dress in fancy costume, with prizes for the best outfits.
This year, Cannonball officially supports The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, which provides essential in-home nursing care and respite for children with severe disabilities. Circle K backs the initiative through its When You Fill, Support Jack and Jill campaign, donating 1 cent from every litre of fuel sold during the event to the charity.
Founded by Kildare businessman Alan Bannon, Cannonball brings major economic and social benefits to host towns, estimated at €2.5 million per year. With high-octane cars, celebrity appearances, and family-friendly festival fun, Cannonball Ireland 2025 promises an unforgettable experience for Cork residents and car enthusiasts.
