Fintech firm is finalist at FS Awards

Cork is once again on the map for innovation in finance. Trustap, based in the Victorian Quarter, has been shortlisted for the Payments Innovation Award at the FS Awards 2025.

This is a big moment for the Cork company, which has been making waves with new ideas in payments technology. Being named a finalist shows the strong role Cork now plays as a hub for fintech in Ireland.

The FS Awards, run by Business & Finance with KPMG, will take place on 23 October at The Mansion House, Dublin. The event honours the brightest names in financial services, with categories covering fintech, compliance, banking, and for the first time, AI & Data Analytics.

The 2025 ceremony will also honour Philip Lane, Member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank and former Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland. He will receive the Pádraig Ó hUiginn Outstanding Contribution to Financial Services Award, presented by Minister Paschal Donohoe.

Clare Kilmartin, Chief Operating Officer of the FS Awards, said: “Each year, the FS Awards shine a light on the remarkable achievements within Ireland’s financial services sector. The calibre and creativity of this year’s finalists reflect an industry that is not only driving growth here at home but also making an impact worldwide.”

Ian Nelson, Head of Financial Services, KPMG Ireland, added: “The breadth of submissions this year shows the depth of talent and innovation driving Ireland’s financial services sector. It’s a reflection of Ireland’s growing influence as a leading European base for global financial operations.”

The winners will be announced at the Awards Luncheon in the Round Room at The Mansion House on 23 October.
