A new quiz with bloody high stakes is coming to Cork next week to test local knowledge on the classic 90s TV series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’.

Fans of the series will have the chance to sink their teeth back into the Buffyverse on 24 September at An Spailpín Fánach in Cork city but beware; organiser The Digital Beour has warned that this isn’t your standard pub quiz.

From spells and witches to slayer, Buffy-lore, vampires, and the show’s unforgettable soundtrack, every round is designed for fans who know their Hellmouth history inside-out. Whether you’re a casual watcher or still quoting lines from Once More, with Feeling, there’ll be something to test your knowledge (and loyalty to your favourite Scooby).

For The Digital Beour, the quiz is a passion project (stake) close to her heart and one that has been years in the making.

“My sister and I were obsessed with Buffy as teenagers, but back then a lot of people thought it was ‘weird’. These days I’ve met so many fans who still love talking about it, so I thought why not create a night where we can all hang out and relive the show together?”

The quiz promises new concepts inspired by the show alongside adapted classics like the music round, all designed to bring fans together for a night of laughter, nostalgia, and a little friendly competition.

The new Buffy the Vampire Slayer Quiz is happening next Wednesday from 7.30pm in An Spailpín Fánach on South Main Street.
